Chillin On Beale, Kingman AZ
Each summer in Kingman Arizona, dozens of classic car enthusiasts gather monthly on a stretch of road just one block over from historic Route 66. A glimpse of a bygone era can be found among the classic cars. You can take a trip back to a simpler time hearing stories told by the drivers of those cars of yesteryear as you walk around and peruse the unique local shops, restaurants and microbreweries.
This is Chillin On Beale.
It started about 20 years ago by a small group of classic car owners who would cruise down Andy Devine Avenue - aka Route 66 - and loop back around and park on Beale Street in downtown Kingman. It has since evolved from a casual gathering of “car nuts” to a regular cruise-in held on the 3rd Saturday monthly from April through November at Locomotive Park in downtown Kingman AZ.
On Halloween each year, Beale Street is closed to traffic and filled with decorated cars as hundreds of kids arrive to trick or treat at the annual Halloween Bash. The group raises money for the Halloween Bash through raffles, 50/50 drawings and more. The “Bash” has been going for over 20 years.
